| India-Picture is a result of my travels, mostly as a journalist, but also as Indologist through several regions of India. I hope, that the pictures communicate what I always felt being there: No matter, what one may think about this country, it is impossible not to be fascinated by the people and the culture of India. India Picture may help to give a visual impression of India and also make its Arts, People and Culture known. It may seem strange that a gallery of pictures on India is produced by a German. But to me it makes sense: most of the photos reflect the view of a foreigner on this country. An Indian would most probably take entirely different photos. India Picture is a non-profit project. All income from the sale of pictures is used to develop and enhance this collection of pictures. If you feel like sponsoring this site write me a few lines and I will contact you. Sponsoring could mean that you finance the production of a gallery about a certain topic, region etc. Besides, I feel sponsored by the "Gallery people" who did a very good job in programming this software and provide it for free. Most of the older pictures are scanned slides. - From now I use only digital equipment. With this all pictures have in original at least a resolution of 2560x1920px, usually more (2700x3600px). So producing prints up to 20x30cm, from these pictures is usually no problem. For some exhipitions I enlarged them to 60x80cm without recognizing any obvious grid or raster. The photos allow considerable enlargement as you see below:  If you want to acquire the high-res versions of the photos, please, specify the use: photo-id, medium, copies etc. The high-res versions are not on the server. Pictures are sent in electronic form, as eMail, larger orders are collected on CD. I can order for you Enlargements on paper or slides but I can take only responsibility for the electronic original. The pictures exhibited here are only a part of my archives. If you are interested in other motives feel free to ask me. You can also ask me for the production of series of Photos about certain Topics. Preferably Indian, but others are also possible. If I can manage I will cooperate with you.
